awesome-claude-code: a hand-picked index, not an installer
This is the Awesome-list style index for Claude Code: commentary plus outbound links, including Anthropic's own skills repo and a long tail of community projects.
What it does
The README groups official documentation, skills, hooks, commands, agents, CLAUDE.md examples and related tooling. Entries are annotated. Some point at Anthropic; many point at personal repos that may move or go stale.
It is a discovery surface. You do not clone this repository and get a working Claude Code setup. You read a section, open a link, and decide whether that project is still alive.
The maintainer is explicit about taste. That is useful. It is also one person's filter, so absence is not a verdict and inclusion is not a security review.
Who it is for
People already using Claude Code who want to see what else exists beyond the official docs. If you are setting up your first CLAUDE.md, start with Anthropic's memory page or our short template, then come back here.
Skip it if you need a single folder you can copy into .claude/ tonight. This list will send you to ten other repositories.
Our take
As an index it is one of the better ones we found: it separates official material from community work and it does not pretend to be a product.
The limits are the usual Awesome-list limits. Links rot. Quality varies. A few entries are blog posts. GitHub does not show a clear SPDX license on the repo, so treat reuse of the list text as something to check.
Use it to find two or three projects, then evaluate those projects on their own. Do not install everything it mentions.
Compared with AgentKit Drawer
Our Claude Code Kit is a small, opinionated setup: CLAUDE.md, six subagents, slash commands and hooks that block dangerous Bash and protect secrets. It is not an index.
If you are still exploring the ecosystem, this list is the right tab. If you want a finite set of files for one repo, use the kit or write the files from our free hooks guide.
